John Kirkpatrick is one of the most prolific and popular figures on the English folk scene. He is a firm favourite at The National Forest Folk Club, and it is no surprise because he is a totally engaging performer - an instrumentalist and singer of the highest calibre!

You’ll hear well-loved songs, nostalgic signature tunes, dance music of all kinds, and perhaps the occasional lugubrious hymn by way of contrast. With a life-time’s experience of running up and down the push-pull scale of the Anglo Concertina, the Melodeon, and the Button Accordion, John keeps it bright and breezy as he wends his way in a selection that highlights the hits of the day, from the 1820s, when squeezeboxes first appeared, right up to the present day.
