Returning to CCC for the first time in almost 5 years, we're proud to announce our headliner for May, Simon Donald, co-founder of the legendary Viz comic and one of the UK most in demand stand ups. 

Simon Donald, International Lavatory Humourist and co-founder of Viz Comic, made history alongside his brother and a school friend, by turning their playground antics into the notorious sales phenomenon of the late 20th century. Simon began stand-up almost twenty years ago, and is most famous for his outrageous market research character act, Barry Twyford, whose surveys ask more questions than they answer.

More details to follow on the supporting acts but we can confirm that to counteract the anticipated entertainment and laughter provided by Simon Donald we have our multi award winning second best compere Jed Salisbury on hand to calm any excitement. 

Doors open 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm (or whenever we can be arsed). Tickets £12 in advance or £14 on the door (£10 with NUS / NHS card).

Cottingham Comedy Club, winner of Yorkshire's Best Independent Comedy Club 2023 and the village’s only comedy venue, provides an unique comedy experience in many ways. This intimate club gets you up close and personal with the acts, many of whom are breaking through into TV, or are established acts from the UK and international comedy circuit. The Back Room is a welcoming venue and we have a dedicated room for the comedy, with regular breaks between the acts for you to lubricate your throats with laughter juice. With four acts and a compere it’s great value for money at less than £2.50 per comedian. We think it’s the most fun you can have with friends on a midweek night out.
